Dream-like Light and Shadow of the Twin Chimneys Light Show, 3D Mapping, "Flowing Light" Coal Depot Audiovisual Art Show ...... From December 29, 2023 to January 7，2024，China-Chongqing International Light and Shadow Art Festival was held in Chongqing Fine Arts Park, Jiulongpo District, Chongqing Municipality, with colorful activities kicking off one after another, adding dazzling brilliance and festive atmosphere to the winter of the mountain city.
Light and shadow as a medium to beautiful mountain city
During the event, from 19:00 to 21:30 every day, Asia's tallest twin chimneys open the light show. The twin chimneys are the chimneys of the power plant built in 1984 and 1994 respectively, which were decommissioned in 2015. Relying on the old chimneys to create multi-dimensional night lighting, leading the night landmark, attracting nearly 10,000 people to the park every day. The twin chimneys are 240 meters high, with a 360° surrounding LED grille screen dominating above 90 meters, which is currently the largest and highest chimney screen in the world. Outdoor projectors work together with the display to create a dream-like nude eye 3D cool effect.
Professional light and shadow art show exhibits "eye candy"
In the festival activities, 3D Mapping Competition and works show and an area of 3,500 square meters of coal depot light and shadow audio-visual art show is the main event. Finalists in the 3D Mapping Competition, 25 teams, 13 teams have won the international Mapping Competition Award. The wonderful works from all over the world, competing with each other, let people enjoy the multi-cultural charm of East and West, tradition and modernity. Children's Art Thinking of the Future
The children's fashion works exhibition of the Light and Shadow Festival was titled "Curious Light and Shadow", and the 87 sets of works on display were mainly for parent-child outfit or children's ware aged at 3-12 years old. The design of the works centers on the fun of children's growth process, explores the roles that are intimate to children's growth, and presents the background and aesthetic characteristics of the current times embedded in the design through the language of parent-child outfit and children's ware, showing the development of children's ware and parent-child outfit in the new era.
The "Search for Truth and Beauty" Children's Art Exhibition openly collected 6,676 works, and 625 works were finally selected for exhibition. The exhibited works include oil painting, Chinese painting, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor painting and so on. The exhibition of children's art works spreads good art works and advanced concepts of aesthetic education, so that more teachers, parents and children can benefit from it and share the fruits of art.
The "Bazaar" is bustling with activities
Behind the twin chimneys is the "Fireworks Peninsula" ，1984 Light Bazaar set up by the Festival Organizer , is bustling with visitors . Nearly one hundred stalls lined up on both sides of the square, in which specialty foods from all over the world and exquisite cultural creations for people to play, to drink, to purchase, and to entertain are all in one place. On this side of the dessert of Tiramisu has just been seen, on the other side of the smell of BBQ is alluring, the person just hate his own stomach is too small.
