On December 28, 2025, the 2025 China National Fitness Walking (Running) Competition (Chongqing·Fengdu Station) National Urban Relay Series Finals & New Year Blessing Carnival successfully concluded in Fengdu. As the glorious concluding battle of this year's national urban linkage, the event, themed "One Step Unawares·Racing Like an Immortal", innovatively integrated Fengdu's profound mythological and cultural heritage with the national fitness upsurge, creating an immersive "culture, sports, tourism and commerce" experience spanning ancient and modern times for nearly 7,000 participants and playing a passionate prelude to the New Year along the banks of the Yangtze River.

Mythical Phalanxes Shine in Parade, Blessing Collection Challenge Ignites the Whole Process
Compared with previous events, this year's Fengdu finals pioneered three themed cultural phalanxes: "Legend of the Immortal Capital", "Myth of Fengdu" and "Pingdu Fireworks". Hundreds of NPCs dressed in distinctive and creative costumes led the participants to immerse themselves in the charm of local culture during walking and running. The entire track is like a flowing "Fengdu cultural scroll", realizing the immersive tour effect of "one step, one scenery; one scenery, one story", and becoming a magnificent landscape running through the Yangtze River Bridge and urban streets.
The "Blessing Collection Challenge" set along the route became the interactive focus. The track connected six themed blessing checkpoints: City God Blesses Peace, Medicine King Grants Health, Kuixing Points the Dipper, Hundred Boys Bestow Blessings, God of Wealth Delivers Treasures, and Happy Marriage. "Immortal" NPCs played by volunteers interacted interestingly with the contestants and distributed pieces of the "blessing" character on site. After completing the race, the collected pieces can be assembled into a complete "blessing" character refrigerator magnet souvenir. "It's not like a competition, but more like a fun folk culture adventure!" A contestant who participated with his child said, "My child interacted with 'immortals' to collect blessings all the way, had a great time, and also deeply felt the unique charm of traditional culture."
